History
Engineering was one of the professional programs offered at Oakland University from the early days. The School of Engineering was created in May 1965, along with other professional schools and the College of Arts and Sciences. Two years later a M.S. in Engineering was accredited, followed by the first Ph.D. in 1969. In 1968 Dodge Hall was completed to house the growing student and faculty body.
