Concours d'Elegance collection
Scope and Contents note
The Concours d’Elegance collection is organized in 3 series: Administrative, Publicity, and Artifacts. Administrative files include rosters, meeting agendas and minutes, correspondence and other documents, organized chronologically from 1987 to 2005. Publicity files contain materials such as print advertisements, flyers, newspaper clippings, and event invitations for the years 1979 to 2009. Artifacts include passes, sponsors' lanyards, buttons, and stationary.

Access and Use note
The Concours d'Elegance collection is open for research except for certain records restricted by statute or university policy. Volunteer files are closed for 75 years after creation or death of subjects.

History
The first Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance was held in 1978 on the grounds of Meadow Brook Hall. In 2011 it became the Concours d’Elegance of America, held at the Inn at St. John's in Plymouth. In 2021 Hagerty purchased it and it became Detroit Concours. It is considered one of the top classic car shows in the world, attracting thousands of spectators each year.
