History
The first association of alumni was formed when Oakland University graduated its first class in 1963, with 125 members. In December 1971 the Friends of Oakland and the Alumni Council decided to merge and create the "Alumni Association" of today (OUAA). Since then the Alumni Association has helped connect alumni with each other and their alma mater. A 21-member OUAA Board of Directors governs the OUAAA. The OUAA is a program managed through the Office of Alumni Relations.
