The Papers of Provost Gary Russi cover the years 1993-1994. The order in which they came to the archives has been preserved and reflects the way his office organized the provost's files. The memos and correspondence series covers all materials received by the provost's office in 1993-1994. The reading files are organized chronologically and cover all academic affairs under the responsibility of the provost.

Biographical note
Gary Russi was apppointed provost and vice-president for academic affairs in 1993 under President Packard. Upon her sudden resignation he became interim president in 1995, and the following year his appointment was made permanent. During his tenure as provost, Russi worked with President Packard on numerous project, including a new School of Engineering masters program.
