Oakland University Student Protest Movements collection
Scope and Contents note
This collection contains texts and ephemera that document students' political activities on the Oakland University campus in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It was artificially assembled from materials found in the archives. Of particular interest are flyers and writings by the OU chapter of the Students for a Democratic Society, the Association of Black Students, and women's rights groups. They document students' views on the Vietnam War, race relations, and other political topics of the day, as well as events they organized on the OU campus.
